Fellers, I am stumped on this one and maybe you can save me some time. Are any of you familiar with the .45 Super? What can you tell me about it?

On another site they seem to be saying that an HK USP can accomodate this round right from the factory with no mods. Other guns seem to be fine with it merely by replacing recoil springs...

Is this correct or are some tards going to blow themselves up doing it? Is the .45 super just a +P round?

Info on this one seems to be awfully sparse...

The .45 Super has a slightly thicker case than the .45ACP but has the same exterior dimensions.
The 45ACP is a low pressure round that maxes out at about 20,000 PSI. Add to that an unramped barrel & pushing the pressures will result in a problem. The back base of the case will bulge or worse, let go.

So with the stronger 45 Super case & stronger recoil springs & also a stronger firing pin spring , the gun will handle it.

".45 Super" is cool.

Get the brass from Starline and go crazy :) it (the .45 Super) is comparable to 10mm Auto.
