.450 Marlin bolt gun velocity

I thought about the 458 alot, but the 450 has my attention right now...Not many people have built a bolt gun using this caliber so it is definitely something different to try! I also figure that if I don't like it then I can just get rid of it and buy a 458.

The .45-70 can (and often is) loaded up to where the .458 Magnum starts. I run a 400gr speer FP in my 1895 rifle at just over 1800 fps without pressure signs (IMR 3031).

Note that the first pressure signs for a 45-70 in the Marlin 1895 might be the action flying apart. The action is designed around a working pressure of 42,500 psi. Pressure signs start where? 60,000 psi? (OK, maybe a bit lower for the weaker 45-70 case)
