452 Varmint or Savage TR

I've been in contact with Epp's about a TR as well, they told me to keep checking stock on the site~updated daily, but only through the week. As an aside, their weekday staff seem to have more direct answers when I've called.

Checking the site daily... :)

I used to be a Big fan of Epps (Orillia, Ont.), but lately I've found as good, if not better deals at Le Baron (North Toronto) and my local store, Accuracy Plus (in Peterborough, Ontario).

I've followed the Savage vs. CZ thread and for what it's worth I bought the Savage M II BV last spring and it shoots pretty good at 50 and 100 yrds, especially after a little tweaking (trim springs and float the barrel (but I've yet to go full out and fix the bedding, replace trigger assembly, etc....)...

...then I shot a five year old 452 with open sights...

I'm going to buy a CZ 452 this weekend from Accuracy Plus (452 American for $529 vs. $545 at Epps).

My biggest prob. now is whether to get the America or Lux! I love this type of dilemma!

If you intend to scope your 452, you may want to consider the 452 American 16 inch barrel. You will get the same velocity as longer barrels, but the rifle will be handier and IMO much prettier. The muzzle is also threaded since they allow canisters in the US.
