454 Casull 300 gr

I don't know where he got that bit of nonsense but .454 cases are solid brass for a significant portion up from the extractor groove let alone the rim. The web starts quite deep into the chamber. That comment is just completely wrong. Even it it isn't counterbored it's still completely supported. You only need some basic knowledge of revolvers to know it can't even be otherwise. What a silly post... I only lose cases to mouth splits and my R92 which has a tapered chamber.

B-

IF & WHEN you attempt to reload 454 Casull brass from a double action revolver(S&W/Ruger SRH,Taurus) to fit in a Freedom Arms 83,the brass will have a slight bulge forward of the extraction groove which will NOT allow chambering said brass w/o the use of an arbor press to press said brass into the FA cylinder.
FYI-
45 Colt ammo, reloads will not fit in a Freedom Arms 83 454 Casull cylinder either, unless an arbor press is used.

Not my first rodeo w/ Freedom Arms Model 83 454 Casull's.
(anything else is JUNK...by comparison)
