Looking for some help to put a price on my S&W second model hand ejector .455 61/2 in barrel. British and Canadian proof marks. Last patent date 1909 I believe. 80-90% condition. Holster and 40 rounds of .455 in original box. Not reloads. Or new rounds. Box says for British service revolvers.
Thanx in advance for any help.

Normally in the $450 to $550 range i paid $400 for mine about 5 years ago its about 90% with no military markings of anykind on it in the 72000 serial range if this helps.....

The 2nd models in 455 do not command premium prices, but are collectable as Being pre N frames! They range from $450-700 depending if all original grips trigger, hammer and landyard and weather it has any War history to go along with it. I bought a near 98% cond one last year for $650 just to give you an idea?
In the USA they go for more as there are more collectors viaing one for the collection, and most are converted to 45colt in the USA. Holsters in pristeen shape go for no more than $100.
The ammo are ussually $1 a round for vintage it seems, good luck! Dale Z!

second model hand ejector 455's are named, not numbered, guns, but Pre- N frame ???? pretty sure they are all built on the smith N frame with five screws, pinned barrel, square butts, I have paid as little as 250 for them but, of course, that was some years ago :) I suppose you could realistically double that figure nowadays -- condition dependant of course. cheers

Finding factory .455 is exceptionally hard to do, most .455 shooters are reloaders so you only have a limited amount of shooters interested in purchasing something in that caliber.
