I have been told the Fiocci .455 is too hot for the older Webly's.
Would it be safe to fire your ammo in a MKII or MKIII?

.455 ammo

I shoot Hornady .455 ammo out of my antiques, I think it is supposed to be loaded a little lighter than the fiocchi ammo.

The MKII Webley service pistol is really no stronger than MKI when it comes to pressure capability. In my personal opinion it would be better to reload lighter ammo but you're a big boy now and you need to make your own decisions. Whether the Fiocchi ammo is safe in YOUR pisol is entirely YOUR decision.

Fiocchi .455 is pretty warm but it's not as hot as full power .45acp. The steel in the old webley service revolvers is soft and the hinges and latches tend to shoot loose on the revolvers that have seen a steady diet of full power .45acp.

If you do blow something up and get hurt, please post pictures. ;)

I have shot about a box of the fiocchi out of my mkII without any perceivable issues. Once I'm done my second box I plan to reload lighter loads. Suitable bullets are the only thing I don't have atm.
