Yes, a barrel for the Webley & Scott Model 1913, an adopted military automatic pistol chambered in 455 Webley Automatic. No other pistol implements those 45 degree cuts on the breech, it is distinguishing of the W&S Autoloaders.

I have a prototype Webley & Scott 1910 which uses the same locking mechanism. However it is hammerless, doesn't have a grip safety, and is chambered in 38 ACP (.38 High Velocity).

EDIT: I see now the differences you are discussing. The angled cuts are smaller in width than typical W&S 1913, and the front sight is a secured ring. It also doesn't have the step on the top of the breech and instead implements a lug like the C96 to lock the barrel to the breech.

I did some looking around and did not find a similar barrel with this front sight style.

Interesting

take care and thanks again for your help

I updated my post with some the differences I observed. Not as clear an example as I first observed.

It is very likely a one-off copy of the W&S 1913 or a prototype pistol. Very interesting.
