Hello all,

I have just recently purchased a Mk V in 455 Webley (not shaved). I obviously want to shoot it so I need help cooking up some loads for it. I cannot seem to find a lot of load data out there, so I thought I'd appeal to the experience in the CGN world.

I have the following:
-Starline MkII 455 Webley Brass
-RCBS .454, 265 Gr, Round Nose, Hollow Base Mold.
-CCI Large Pistol Primers

So with that said, does anyone have any experience using that bullet mold? If so, what powder charge would you recommend?

Cheers,
Kevin

I have data but it is for the .455 Colt/S+W revolvers.........may be a little too strong for the Webley ? Perhaps someone here will know more?

I reload .455 for Webley Revolvers . In this loading you MUST remember that there are 2 case lengths.
The original ( BP / Mk. 1 ) longer one , about .880 " and the newer one ( smokeless Mk. 2 @ .750 " .
I only use the LONGER ones . Reduce powder by 1 grain for shorter / Mk.2 cases .

Using the .265 gr. HB , I use 5 gr. of Unique . 5 gr. gives me 600 f/s in a Webley Mk.6 . I use Fed. #150 primmers .
Factory Dominion is 770 f/s. My data shows 6.5 grs. is top load.
