I just took delivery of a new service colt revolver 455 eley, and i am trying to hunt down some ammo for it....if someone could help point me in the right direction that would be appreciated.
Hornady is also selling loaded .455 cartridges packed 25 rounds per box. It is available in Canada. Here in eastern Ontario Brian at Gunmart in Brockville was stocking it and maybe able to order you some. Also Ellwood Epps in Orillia may have some or can order it as well.
That'd be .455 Webley. There are a few different .455 cartridges around. .455 Eley is the same as the .455 Webly Mk I. It's longer than the Mk II ammo and isn't interchangeable. Fiocchi makes .455 Webley Mk II ammo.
You'll have to make the brass and reload.
There's a decent article about your revolver here. http://www.cruffler.com/historic-january02.html
o wow that sucks, cant wait to get this revolver back to its former shape and glory and take it out to the range for a couple rds...its going to pretty much be a showcase piece, as are all my historical firearms are...pretty excited to shoot it though
