.458 win mag bullets in a 45-70

I bought some barnes .458 350gr tsx FB bullets and when i got home noticed they were for 458 win mag . Can I load these for 45-70 ? . Shooting out of a single shot rifle ( buffalo classic) .

Bullets for a 458WM are going to be designed to expand at a higher velocity than those designed for a 45-70. They will still expand but maybe not as much as you'd expect. A level 2 load for a 45-70 pushes a 350gr bullet around 2100fps. A 458WM is pushing the same weight to 2500+fps.
They are both .458" so will work in either cartridge.

That bullet does have a fairly long nose/ogive so I'd load up a dummy round and see if they chamber (you can pull it and salvage the components after you figure out which OAL to use). You don't have to worry about the bullets fitting on the elevator like you do with a lever rifle but my BC has a pretty damn short throat in the barrel so longer bullets don't get along with it all the time. You might have to seat deeper than you think is all.
