Hi: I did not no where to put this but here goes. Has anyone fired many rounds of .458WM with no ill effects ie. fire ring just ahead of the shorter brass that could effect the chambering of the longer 458Lott. Thank's

Pounder has a Brno 602 .458 Winchester that he had rechambered to .458 Lott. There are no issues firing .458 Winchester ammo, but the longish lead will reduce pressure and probably velocity. I don't know if he has shot any .458 Winchester ammo across a chronograph since the chamber was lengthened, but he isn't about to throw out his .458 Winchester brass.

Thank's Boomer . I have the same [602]that Pounder has and am either going to sell it or make it a Lott. I also have a Whitworth 458 with 19" barrel that will be my new bush carry gun. I shoot a lot of cast and don't want to screw up the 602 if i keep it. Dan

.458 wm

After I got the chamger done ,I shot up a lot of my old .458WM ammo with no problems,as this is a 0-50 yrd. rifle I have not shot a lot over the chrony. I don't keep my ammo from 1 year to the next, new season new ammo. Have fun shoot it.
