.45acp hollow point

Never seen them for sale as loaded rounds. I just buy Speer Gold Dot Hollow Point bullets and load them myself, I really like them, they've been very reliable so far. I haven't recovered any fired rounds yet (haven't tried either), but the exit holes on water jugs tell me they do pretty decent anyways.
I think one of the sponsors is the CorBon distributor for Canada, if anyone is gonna have loaded hollow points, that'd be it. I don't know which one though :(

ETA, duh, forgot to say I got the Gold Dots at wholesale sports

Most of the dealers for this site who sell pistol ammo will have it in stock periodically. Just call them up and ask.

Wholesale sports often has 185gr Winchester Silvertips and 230gr Remington JHP's, since you mention it curt :D

Our local dealer has some factory Fiocchi 230 gr JHP .45ACP..... my Norc 1911 compact just loves 'em. They are running about $25 per box of 50, though.

Thanks guys. I must was I was looking more for loaded gold dots and hydrashocks. Hell, I'll take unloaded pills if I can't find loaded rounds.

Not here :( I pop in and ask everytime I'm within 5 blocks of the place. Nothing but 230gr FMJ, usually a fair bit of variety in that though. One time I counted 8 different kinds of 230gr FMJ.

I have trouble getting the gold dots to fit in my gun. it seems that they are just a bit to wide to feed into my .45 ACP. They are .452 gold dot hollow points and it looks like the casing bulges out. I'm using .45 acp carbide dies..... help.

YOur gun should load them. We shoot lead bullets sized .452, which is correct for lead. Yes the case bulges as it should and they should feed in your gun.

Take Care

Do you use a factory crimp die, if you do they'll chamber.

I always buy the .451 for 45 acp. My glock only gets jacketted, my Speer Manual lists .451 as the size for all jacketted .45acp, including gold dots. Only lead bullets are listed for .45acp in the speer manual as .452.

There is a listing for 45colt, using .452 gold dots, though.
