Hi ..

I use Lee mold in .452/230 gr RN, and the price is very afordable .. I order them from US (as well as all my reloading equipment) .. Never had any problem...

If you even want my contact, just let me know

The classic mould is the H&G # 68 which is a 200 gr SWC design; it was used by most shooters when IPSC was still shot mainly with 45 ACP pistols since it tends to be very accurate and cuts nice holes in the target. Personally I stay away from Lee moulds due to past experiences with them; I feel that the best value for the money is Lyman moulds. Here is the Lyman equivalent to the H&G mould.

LYMAN PISTOL MOULD 45CAL BULLET # 452630 200GRAIN

I have experience with this one.

You need the lee TL452-230-2R

the lee 452-228-1R will not work. The bullet hits the rifling on that bullet style and does not chamber properely if seated at spec length. I had to buy another 6 cavity mold just for my norinco commander.

My commander did not work well with frontier bullets, but did work with montana golds and the the TL452-230-2R

Lyman's 452460 has kinda become the std. since H & G has disappeared, it differs from HG #68 in that it has 2 lube grooves, but the folks that get them from me swear by them, not at them.

H&G has not disappeared, they were bought out by Ballisti-cast and their bullet designs are available there. I have used most available bullets for 45 acp, and have settled on Saeco- Redding 230 gr. TC 4 cav and a Lee 230 gr tc tl 6 cavity mold.

I have found new Lyman molds to be not as nicely finished as Lymans made even just a few years ago.

thanks people, what kind of reloading dies are good? I run a single stage press, not really considring a progressive unless someone gives it for free including shipping. (lol)
