.45acp need info in regards to using 3 powders

OK , been using W231 but want to try out some loads using these 3 powders using 230 gr FMJ round nose and JHP's in various 1911's.
Powders I'm trying are...
1) Clays
2) universal
3) titegroup
Not shooting ipsc , just want good suggestions on loads using these powders with these bullets for target that won't slam the heck out of my 1911's .

For smooth shoot, I use Herco. Fun, fun, fun.

Clays is a great powder for .45ACP. I use about 4.2 grains of it with a 200gr cast SWC.

I use 4.6 titegroup w/ 230fmj's in my 1911.
