hello,
any experience with 45acp using a small primer brass? I got a few hundreds and Iam interested in trying this type since I am also loading 40sw and 38spl. and lastly, what do you think of the small magnum primers for the 40sw and 45acp. thanks

I've been having great results reloading the Winclean brass with small pistol primers. Using 6.00 grains of Winchester 231 on a 200 grain copper plated semi wad-cutter. This particular load works perfectly on my Ruger P90.

I do not see why they would be better or worse than regular LP cases. I do not think that 45ACP uses many powders that would require the little bit of extra 'flame' that a LP offers over a SP.

The only thing I find dangerous about those cases, especially if you pick-up range brass as I do, is having a few of them in a Large Primer batch of casings and try to squeeze a large primer in the small hole with a progressive, potential blow-up... good thing Dillon puts a steel shield around the priming area of their presses.
