Can anyone suggest a recipe for 250gn plated bullets for a 1873 .45 Pietta using either Unique or Power Pistol? I checked the Lee manual and it shows two differant powders for this bullet. I didn't want to buy yet another powder but rather use some that I have. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Paul.

The Lyman 49th Edition manual has the following data for Unique:

250 grain RNFP #454190: 6.0 min/9.0 max
250 grain RNFP #452664: 6.3 min/8.2 max
255 grain SWC #452424: 6.0 min/8.5 max

8.0 grains of Unique is a fairly standard load with 250-255 grain lead bullets. A suitable charge weight for plated bullets would likely be similar.
