Where can a guy source 1858 Rem 45colt conversion cylinders in Canada?

Anyone have luck buying em in the US and shipped here....any issues?

Bought mine from taylors as well, make sure it is the right type. The uberti ones will fit original 1858s the best.

Did you have to modify original 1858 at all? I assume you used it on original.

I had heard the Ubertis are the better ones for the 1856 as well.

I just inquire with Taylor's and this is their answer:

As you are a Canadian resident, you must file your individual PO for a conversion cylinder with your customs department. There is a $100.00 AES Export Fee along with product and shipping charges as it is a cartridge cylinder. You may submit an order form from this link (http://www.taylorsfirearms.com/orderform) with your order and copy of your import permit so we may process the order.

We do not guarantee any compatibility with original firearms. We would recommend a Pietta cylinder, as they are longer and you would have more material to work with to fit to an original firearm. They are $240.00. You can locate them on our website for more information.
