Curious if anyone here has converted a 1911 to 460 Rowland, and what their impressions where. DO theese kits work with any 1911,or are they manufactuer specific? I'm thinking it might work with a Norc, and you have a pretty potent pistol.

my friend converted a new Kimber. Bought and shipped everything over the internet. I believe he said the total price including reload brass was close to $1000. I personally haven't fired it yet, hope to in the coming weeks, he said it quite amazing. I wouldn't mind doing the same thing.

Shot one on a Kimber too. Kind of neat. Could buy a complete gun for the cost though, ie exchange rate, componets etc etc etc. Winshooter could add more details on the specs ie load data. If you have the dough, then go for it.:)

They will only do the conversion on specific pistols. The Norc is one of them, the metal Norinco used is strong enough to handle the conversion. You have to send them the slide, though. They need to match up the locking lugs.
