Does anyone in Canada stock these items? How about bringing them across the border yourself, too much hassle/risk?

I just picked up Clarke 460 conversion kit to build a hard hitting 1911 pistol and I'm looking for some reloading supplies, preferably in the country already.

Cheers!!

Sounds like a fun project. Where did you find the kit and what is the base 1911 you are using?
I don't know who has them but Mystic seems to be able to order some unusual stuff.

I wouldn't take any chances at the border.

From what I've read most guys are using standard .452 230gr bullets even though SAMMI has the bullet diameter for the 460 Rowland listed as .451

Starline makes 460 Rowland brass, I doubt you'll find it in stock in Canada, it'll have to be ordered.

You cannot legally bring reloading components across the border.

Spill the beans; where did you get the kit from?

I think Rusty Wood Trading in Mission BC has had the brass before.

Hey guys, I actually bought the kit and a few other things off a forum member whom had imported it some time ago! I probably should have put this in the reload section but as soon as I find my donor pistol I will be starting a build thread for anyone interested in the conversion with as much info and as many pictures as possible. I will also post my findings for the reloads, my cousin will be helping me with those as I'm totally new to reloading bullets.

I was going to drop it into my Kimber Raptor but I love that gun too much to risk damaging it in this high abuse application. I'm currently in search of a cheaper new or used Kimber, Sig, or Remington Enhanced 1911 to use for this build.. not worried about cosmetics on this project near as much as reliability or performance. Basically just looking to build the ultimate 1911 wilderness carry gun, yes I know I can't do so here legally(yet*) but I do plan on doing lots of hunting in Montana in the upcoming years with a good friend of mine who has moved there recently to be a guide/dog trainer.

I have 100 rounds of starline brass but I would like to find more, as well as some buffalo bore bullets.. are any of our CGN dealers good for bringing in either of these products? I've got a line on a couple used Kimbers for the build but I need to start sourcing my ammunition components.
