I have not been out in a while coyote hunting, decided to go back to where I got my last one 2 weeks ago, set up virtually the same. At first light with a light wind coming out of the west I set up....After 10 mins or so I see this guy pop his head out of the bush, sneak through the taller grass at the end of the corn feed, trying to get down wind of the call....I wolfed, wolfed him to stop about 10 yds from (behind) the caller. One shot with the .223 and he fell down like a bag of potatoes, no movement....The shot was about 90 yds out....I was just sitting on the edge of a tree/bush line and my caller is usually set up about 80 yds crosswind (in front and to my right) so they have to go pass my call to get my scent.....I let the caller play for another 10 mins but no other takers.....I went to another farm and set up for crows but not many around where I was....
