4x scope for NEA cantilever mount

Can someone suggest some 4x scopes that will fit back on the NEA cantilever mount and not get in the way of casings? Just using it for plinking at the gun range.

Budget is $500ish for a new one, though will probably look on EE for a used one. If there was something in the sub $300 range that was decent (I hear most stuff under that gets crappy fast), I'd be into that too.

Burris or Leupold compacts may just do the trick. Check out their websites for their overall lengths, etc. There are also the cheap Leapers and NCStar scopes for just an occasion if you want to gamble on their quality or lack thereof.
 
I plan on using a Nightforce NXS 1-4 compact, although last I checked they were retailing at around $1100. Looks like it should clear the ejection port just fine. There is a video of the cantilever mount testing and they are using what looks like a compact 1-4 power scope similar to the Nightforce. Check it out, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkBi4_svm7c
 
Ah, I love the Millett DMS, this would make a good excuse to buy one. From what I remember, it's long-ish, but I think I know someone who will let me test mount theirs. Will try it out and post pics.

Ordered a PEPR mount already, mine should hopefully look like that soon.

How did you mount the shell deflector though? Is it custom made?

It's an SKS shell deflector with a bit of bending to fit our rifles. I saw it on the forum, Curtton had a great thread on how he adapted it to fit the CZ858/VZ58 rifles. Its on here somewhere. Here's a link on e-bay to what they look like.
