I was talking to a guy in my neighbourhood who's brags about anything and everything. We were talking about the local gunstores being broke into and he mentioned something about him already having a rifle. I asked what kind he had and he said a husqvarna and I told him that I've never owned one but from what I've heard they're really nice. He went on to talk about how it was an older "556" model and claimed that it was a 556 not a .223. He said it was worth over $5,000. Admittedly bolt actions aren't my niche and I definitely don't know everything about them but that seemed like a lot of money for a husky. I googled it and couldn't really find one worth even half that. I forget what optic he had but it wasn't anything special. This guy is not a gun guy and exaggerates a lot so it's hard to take his word for it. I was wondering if there really are Husqvarnas worth that much? Thanks for any answers you guys have!

Contact a site member that goes by Baribal. He usually posts to Husqvarna questions and can often be found close to the top of this Hunting and Sporting Arms forum. If anyone can clarify things for you, he's the guy.

There are some real dandy B.S. stories around.

My neighbour's father died and his long unused guns were collected from one of his ex wive's home.

He'd told me before he died that he once had a Lee Enfield 303 and a Cooey shotgun.

My neighbour gave the guns to her stepdad. (married to one her dad's ex-wives of course -- her mom)

Stepdad wom I've met is a pretty good bser.

He told my neighbour that one of the guns she gave him had 243 stamped on it, indicating that it was a special military rifle that was unlawful for civilians to possess but he was happy to take it off her hands.

My father-in-law will tell you all day long that a .308 is only good for wounding deer. Of course he packs a 300WM around.

We all know one of those.

I once was hunting with with two friends and a friend of a friend. Me and the friend of a friend were walking down an old railroad grade when we saw a couple Mule does in the distance. He says to me "how far are they?" I reply "oh six or seven hundred yards" not thinking much of it as they were on the move.

BANG

Yep, buddy took an offhand shot at the does.

Some people all bull####ters and some people are stupid.

More than a few Husqvarna's on US sites for $3000k, plus. When it comes to rifles, anything is possible.
Always best to keep an open mind, and always evaluate the source...
