just a thought.. where could u get 5.45 ammo and cheaply? There is basically no guns that really shoot that here in Canada.. AK sadly not allowed.

Like I sad earlier I am not to worried about the ammo supply... Just would be nice to know which direction to go and who to talk to..

i know its not a russkie rifle but they do make ar-15 upper halves that can shoot 5.45x39mm yes its corrosive, and if your thinking of reloading, forget about i!!! unless you folks up there in canada have access to berdan primers its not realy feasabel to reload!

this has always been one of my fantasies for years. I have 2 bulgy 5.45 barrels and plan on trying it one day.

there was a gunsmith back in the 80's here in the US that converted some to .223. I would love to get my hands on one of them.

has anyone ever seen a black powder sks?
