hey everyone just a quick question i know we cant buy loaded 5.56 nato in Canada.

but can we buy the brass and reload our own?

if yes where can i find some brass and bullets.

I know that .223 rem is basicaly the same as 5.56 i use .223 rem all the time in my AR's

i just would like to try some 5.56 in them for the heavier bullets and the higher pressure to see the performance. and my ar's are 5.56 nato chambers.

that is a good sudgestion thank's i will try the AE Tactical out.

and you are correct i doo mean that .223 and 5.56 are totaly different when it comes down to pressure.
 
hey one of the suppliers on cgn just recieved pmc 556 natos m193 just search youll find it once you shoot 556 nato you dont want to go back to 223s and yes you can reload your own 223 brass primer powder and bullets are everywhere just go to ee

yes you can charge a .223 to 5.56 pressure but i belive there are some differnces in the brass dementions as well

very small differnces but i think the 5.56 brass is made to it's specs to withstand the extra pressure over the .223 rem?

Unless you can find a set of 5.56 dies, you're just going to have to be happy with .223 brass dimensions. Personally, I've never heard of 5.56 dies, but then I'm not exactly wikipedia either.
 
Yup. I've got Lake City NATO, AE red box and AE tactical.

I can notice the diff between the AE and the Lake City and was going to try the tactical this weekend.

I was lucky to get my 5.56 from Henry while he had it...

"...for the heavier bullets..." You can load heavy bullets in .223 cases. Hornady factory goes to 75 grains though. Mind you, the rifling twist your AR has matters too. Likely just fine though.
