Are projectiles only available to buy? I reload a lot of .223 / 5.56 and just wondering if the green tip projectiles can be bought in bulk, I can reload them as well.

If yes, any dealer carry them ?

Trying as well ..... hard to find and probably a bit pricey.

Seen some 7.62x51 NATO AP projectiles for 1 dollar each (ouch)

SS109 bullets are fairly available to reloaders in the USA, but I think the only ones I have seen up here were grey market, meaning they were being sold at gun shows by hobby dealers who happened to live close to the US border.

For the amount of time you're going to put into reloading SS109 bullets (which aren't particularly accurate in comparison to other offerings) why not just buy a case of PMC green tip ammo and be done?

Second this. The SS109 are 2 MOA projectiles on a good day. A regular 62 grain FMJ is going to do 80% of what the SS109 will and be most likely more accurate also, while being available in Canada

Bought 1000 from a dealer some years ago, no green/black tip but they have the penetrator, terrible accuracy in everything I tried it in. 68gr/69gr are all I shoot now.

Western Metal has these. Steel target friendly too. At least as accurate as green tips.

I was using PMC green tip at 640 yds. today with a Mossberg MVP
getting low cost trigger time.they work well

They are absolutely horse cacca ....I tried lots of combos ...believe me ...I had tried lot s of options ....if your happy with 2 to 6” groups ok go for it ...and you’ll see that they are for .....spraying and praying ......
I’m not sure of the xm193 thou ....that a 55 gr...

The steel perpetrator does not help accuracy.

A 60 gr HP or SP would be much more accurate.
