5.56 vz58

I have about 1000 rounds through my 2014 223 Vz58. Can hit clays at 100 yards offhand with no issues. Have a Vortex Sparc with a 2MOA red dot scope and it will do 2 MOA. Might be more accurate with a better scope, with better magnification.

Thats good to hear, im looking at one pretty serious right now. Any experience with 7.62x39 CZ858s. Im lookin at one of those as well so i have the pair.

I have the .223 with the AR mag adapter, with an NEA forward top rail and a mid range red dot.
The gun would sometimes slice an ejected case in half (only with Norinco ammo it seemed), so took it to North Silva for warranty work.
They replaced the gas tube. Had the gun back in 3 days, shipped.
Works great now. Accurate, reliable, fun and non restricted.
This gun will be a keeper.

How are the Vz.58 5.56 rifles... Reliability, Accuracy?

I have 2, both went back to North Sylva to get the 7.62 parts taken out of them and swapped for proper .223 parts. Both work good now.

I like the rock & lock mags, but if I were buying again I'd probably get 7.62x39

I've had my .223 for a little over a year now. Installed the mag adapter. It's been working great so far. But just recently the bolt hold open doesn't always engage I think it's cause the plastic followers are getting worn out. Also the spring inside for the mag release has worn through the wall into the Magwell still works just with they'd come out with an aluminum adapter. I'm in process of getting one fabricated and will post on how it turns out!

Call me old fashioned if you will but I prefer my VZ/CZ in 7.62X39 and my AR's in 223.

Not saying they can't work and work well in different calibers but I just prefer them in original chamberings.

No offense to anyone intended, just my 0.02

I like the fact you can have a super reliable military style firearm non restricted. I got mine in .223 because it's a newer round also there's more manufacturers for this round, making availability very good now and hopefully in the future. I'd like to have vz in 7.62 just took a chance with the .223 and I'm super happy with it!!

I have one with the 11.75" barrel. Surprisingly very, very accurate and it runs fine. I got it in 2012 during the big April 1st sale for $400 from Wolverine Supplies and I haven't done anything to it.
