we should try getting a hold of IMI they make us and they're own spec 5.56 ammo it isn't exported from the US it's direct to canada

So CanAm, does this mean you won't be getting your shipment of 5.56 this spring? Or do you have some other kind coming in?

We're all eager to hear some details about the fabled .308 and 5.56 coming. :)

IMI Ammo

IMI does sell to the general public within the US through Cole Distributing.
See below
Many people choose not to fire reloads in their rifles, either for fear of misloads or in order to not void a manufacturer's warranty. Buying new ammo can be expensive, unless you can find a source of quality product. Cole Distributing is one such source. They are an importer and distributer of ammunition from Israeli Military Industries.
IMI ammo from Cole is new, first quality ammo not to be confused with older "surplus" that's available elsewhere. It is loosely packaged in sealed 30-round brown military boxes. All ammo is loaded to SAMMI specs and fully insured.
Available loadings are:

.223 55 gr. FMJ-BT ($179.95/990 rounds)
.223 62 gr. FMJ-BT Green Tip/Steel Core ($219.95/990 rounds)
.223 62 gr. FMJ-BT Silver Tip Match, Lead Core ($219.95/990 rounds)

That's a good laugh. They haven't had any for ages. At those prices, if they did, we would hear the stomping hoards from here.

another reason for the iraq war to end... lots of Mil-SURPLUS for cheap!!!

(i'm just guessing though...)

No dice. The US can't export 5.56 and Clinton (aka Klinton or Slick Willie) banned the sale or surplus munitions to the public in the states. Not sure where its all going to go, but I know for sure they need to start refilling the depleted war stocks as they must be kinda low....

Keep looking at the Gun Shows. I found 26 40 round boxes of Portugese 5.56 at the Calgary Gun Show. I bought the lot and got a good deal at $12 per box of 40.

There are lots af Igman 5.56 (M855) ammo down south , is there any restriction getting ammo from Bosnia?
