Hi all, is anyone on here reloading for the 5.6x57RWS?
I got a nice Krico M700 from Tradex in this interesting caliber. I have found that getting ammo or brass to be very hard to find.
I posted on a forum overseas and found some info on reloading data. Does anyone know of any source for brass or ammo?
I have tried to contact both listed RWS distributors for canada but they don't respond.
Also looking for some more reloading data. My books show nothing in this caliber.

Last mountain reloading might be able to help you out. I've never dealt with them but it looks like they deal with odd balls

Read that 270win brass can be sized for it but double check the dimensions to make sure that's accurate, other then that, might be tough to find brass.

Yes it seems very hard to find brass. Same info a couple of guys has made is that 270 win could be formed.
I'm waiting for dies to show up ,found a set on ebay. I have contacted some company's in Germany about possibly shipping brass
but it looks like it would be very expensive.

The Handloader's Manual of Cartridge Conversions says to use 270 Winchester brass - anneal, FL size, trim.

I just got the book myself from amazon.Very interesting reading. Annealed my brass. Resized and trimmed to length. It looked good.

How ever this does not work. Brass is to thin at neck to hold a bullet. Headstamps on brass was hornady ,R-P and FC.
I have found a dealer with export permits for USA so there is some proper RWS brass coming.

Take the expander out and size it again, bet it will hold then.

Bumping this up to see if anyone has experience loading 5.6x57. Ive read about problems with thick RWS brass.

There's a Steyr Mannlicher L chambered in 5.6x57 for sale at a sponsor site.
