5.7x28 Stowaway

Very cool thanks for sharing!......:)

We are jealous that you guys can already shoot gophers. They are not up here until April 10th or so......:(

I'm assuming you are in Alberta?

Sweet looking little rifle indeed!......:)

I’ve shot gophers here in every month of the year, SW Alberta.

I like the rifle! How does it shoot?

Haven’t shot a group with it. Just loaded up Cfe Black. Starting at 9 grs and went up to 12 grs with the 40 gr bullet. Couldn’t find pressure with that bullet so loaded some with 45 gr Hornet bullets. 12 grs again, this is a compressed load and starting to show a bit of primer flattening with the Fed 205’s.

This thing feels like a toy built for a midget. The forend tube should be a couple inches longer and the rear stock tube should be extendable. Butt plate could be longer and without the angled toe. Trigger travel is very long and gritty. The grip should have been something more like a Magpul MOE+ with a compartment for storing a few round on the gun.
Haven’t chronographed any loads yet.

Thank you for the honest review. Maybe I'll pass on it

Had mine out to the range yesterday, shoots well, but I feel it needs a scope, a red dot just doesn't give me the accuracy.
I found gripping the "fore end" or rather the barrel weird , so am experimenting with an aluminum tube over the "barrel nut" feels a lot better (see pictures)
The other thing I found my self doing was closing the bolt and pulling the trigger, expecting it to fire, only to remember I hadn't cocked the rifle. I really wish it was #### on closing the bolt.

Overall a nice simple little rifle. will experiment with some reloads next.

Was planning on taking mine out today, but decided to order a different optic. Was hoping a PA 3x microprism would be just about perfect, but the eye relief doesn't work. Would've preferred the bolt release be on the side, rather than the top of the receiver causing a shorter/more forward rail. That being said the bolt handle seems like it would interfere with anything mounted further back.

Donkin, a longer forend looks much better.

JJ-65, totally agree with your assessment, trigger is pretty awful, and the angled toe on the tiny buttstock is awkward. Regardless still excited to play around with it, seems like a cool utility rifle and your handloads look like they're working great
