5 lbs 12 oz baby

the cup was tiny, and I am not near the natural shot and stunning figure of a man you are.

it is BDL hinged floorplate :)

went out tonight and shot it before dark in the gravel pit. With a s**tty rest off of hood of truck I put three into 1.5" @ 90y, and second try from the shooting stix I put three into 1.25"

recoil is cream puff!

get rid of it, a gun that shoots that bad, put it on ee before anyone reads this and sees how bad it shoots:dancingbanana:
everyone knows that no matter what gun that they have it shoots under a inch at 300 yards :p

2 shots @ 75y (forgot target stand at home to shoot longer distance)

I shot a couple of three shot groups at about 130 yards this afternoon. Both were right around 1.8", and this was with 140 grain Hornady Interlocks @ 2650 fps, sort of a random load. If I can consistently get 1.5 moa out of a 5.5 lb gun I am happy :D

I can shoot both right and left, my left eye is more precise due to an injury a few years ago in my right eye, but I can shoot either way.

It must have hurt coming out:rolleyes: but it sure looks worth it.
VERY nice package you put together. Incredible size to weight ratio from the pic.

Very nice rifle, looks like you've put together the perfect lightweight combo. What's the barrel length?

factory 22"

It is the perfect lightweight combo IMO. Any larger cartridge and the recoil starts to get out of control, and anything smaller lacks the downrange ballistics for anything bigger than a medium sized deer.

Does your husband hunt as well?

Id imagine shooting a 5.5 lb 30-284 or 338-284 would be pretty uncomfortable :) even for burly men who lug around 10 lb magnums on the intraweb all day. A 7-08 or 284 or 308 doesn't provide any real advantage over a 260, nothing that would be worth putting up with the increase in blast and jump. :sniper:

Any bets on how long it'll be before a certain someone sells an ultralight 338-06? :p Round and round we go...:runaway:
