I have a M&P CORE due in this week and i've been looking around at different holster options. I know there are many listings for the M&P but I'm not sure if they will work with the CORE's high front sight or not.
Although i don't compete I would prefer a holster that is IDPA approved/acceptable...just in case.

Thanks
A

Don't know about all holsters out there, but my M&P 40L CORE fits both Bladetech holsters I have no issues that I can see. One of those is the one that comes with the range kit with the M&P 9.

The regular M&P range kit Bladetech holster will fit? That would make things easy ... Thanks

Mine did, just double checked before posting before. There's a groove for the sights and it clears the taller CORE sights no problem.

comp-tac.com - their International model, I got a nice red one for my 5" M&P9 Pro C.O.R.E. tall front sight ;-)
Fast and efficient ordering on-line.

The International looks like a nice holster but I had too laugh when i saw the "Infidel" model...I want a holster called the Infidel! LOL
Also talked to Blade-Tech and they suggested the Black ice or regular OWB holsters. Also some some site sponsors pm'd me so lots of options for the 5 inch CORE.

I am sorry, I didn't realize the slide was hitting the bottom of the one holster and not allowing it to seat all the way down, the other Bladetech holster I have has the end open and the slide passes through and the trigger guard seats all the way in. If I hadn't looked for that after enefgee mentioned it I probably wouldn't have ever noticed as it feels like it locks in.

i was going to say my Pro Core does not fit in my range kit holster.
but it does fit in the Blade Tech that i ordered from Blade Tech directly.
those tall front sites seem to catch on a lot of holsters.

i made this post for another thread but i notice i was wrong above.
the ProCore fits in the range kit holster fine.
does not fit in the blackhawk or the bladetech i ordered in left.

here is the post;

i had 5 minutes and iphone.

Pro Core top left, 45 top right, 40cal bottom left and 22 bottom right. (didnt bring out the 9 cause its the same as the 40)

Bladetech holster that comes with the range kit is in the middle, ordered in a Left Hand Bladetech, Blackhawk on the right.

pro-core - no - front site drags on inside and actually catches on the front of the holster when in all the way

I ordered the Blade-Tech IDPA package M&P 9 Pro Series (HOLX00IDPAPKO0278BLKRH) that includes one double stack 9/40magazine holder. This holster fits my 5" .40 Pro CORE with the .315"/8mm tall sights perfectly. Just make sure you Loc-tite the screws. Having lost a screw, I pushed the gun too far into the holster during drawing and re-holstering drills. The edge of the holster pushed on the mag release and the magazine would fall out. Draw, fire 1 round, and the mag would hit the ground . Several WTF moments until I figured it out. Other than that, I'm very happy with it and works great.
