5 moose, 37 deer and one trespasser

Heading out to the property in an hour, hopefully we see as much as on opening day. My eldest son is strictly a meat hunter as well as my best friend,
they are coming this morning. I have no doubt they will fill their tags, my youngest son and myself want large antlers as well as the meat, so we will
hold out for the bigger ones, and it is too early in the season to take a dinker. Minus 17 this morning, dead calm, at the least we will have a good time.

It sounds like you got it made. Well done.

My buddy of 40 years and I went out this afternoon to the property, he tagged out on Friday but offered to come and assist me in
the event I get something. His company always makes for a good time, dry sense of humour and always helps out. It was a slower
day, only 12 deer total, no moose, we only went for the afternoon. One 160 class buck, but not shootable as it was on a property
we do not have permission on. They didn't seem to be moving as well today, but a glorious day, bright sun, no clouds and it made for
a great walk in the bush and some warm sitting in our blind. Heading out again Friday with my younger son, this son is like a
magnet for big deer, has been since he was a nubbin. At the least we will have a good time, forecast as sunny and only -6. By the way

By the way, my wife and I spent two weeks in your neck of the woods last October (2016), great Province, some of the best B&B's we ever stayed at
and we loved the people. This June we went to Nfld, again a great time. We are finding that the people in the Maritimes are some of the friendliest
we have ever met. We will be heading east every year from now on.
