Yes lots of options in the US but I'm not sure how the logistics would play out with shipping the gun down there for the conversion and then re-importing it.

Was looking into the same thing a while back. It seems buying the gun stateside, getting it forwarded it to the gunsmith for the work and finally importing it into Canada was the way to go.
It avoids the whole headache of changing calibers and exporting a Canadian restricted.
Ideally, finding the exact or close enough firearm stateside and importing it is easiest but big bore five shot revolvers are not all that common.
I'm in the middle of doing a 475 Max, but it's slow going. Border crossing issues for 'smithing work (particularly if there are a few 'smiths wOrking on the project) are a pita. - dan
