Hi all I need help finding a barrel,I want to buy an octgon barrel in 50 cal to build a win 86 and would like help to find a barrel and reamer in CANADA but will go out of country if I have to. Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks matt

I would love to know the answer to this also. You can get reamers out of country easily enough. I don't personally know where you can for sure get a .50 barrel as it seems to get caught up during export in .50 BMG export issues. It doesn't have to be intended for .50 BMG use to get swept up in that area. In fact I was thinking of doing a wildcat in a big but not fifty designation.

Track of the wolf sells them and will ship to Canada Classic Winchester taper octagon rifle barrels in 50-110 ,35inches long made by Green mountain cost $145. Ray.

Green mountain. Ah yes and black powder loads are the limit woopppeee

Well weebull If he is not going to shoot black powder why would he want a 50-110.Green mountain claim their barrels are made from 4140 steel that should be strong enough for any loads a sane person would shoot out of a Winchester 86.

.50-110 express barrel

Green Mountain (Green River make knives) barrels are not just for black powder. I have had one fitted to my Ruger no.3 in .45-120 for years and load hot with RE-7 powder and all is well:evil:It also hurts at both ends:D .45-90:)

Oh well theres a news flash for me, they didnt used to be. Howa bout that, tings do change for the better

Yep, 4140 NOW, I think they used to make their barrels out of a steel called "Stressproof" which was not recomended for barrels by the steel maker.

Brownells carrys them as well. A few dealers in Canada have open import permits and can get them for you.
