50-70 - original factory cartridge comparison

My 50-70 reload on the left (starline brass with 515" - 450gr RCBS bullet) and the REM UMC factory original cartridge on the right. A buddy found a handful of these original factory cartridges in a box with other stuff at an estate sale.

I was suprised at how close my own reloads for my Remington RB rifle are to the actual factory stuff - in appearance anyway - bullet nose shape in paticular.

I actually load my 50-70 with 340gr slugs that I cast. I use a .515 mold for a 56-50....
