What twist rate are people using for .50-70 chambered barrels? I have a Douglas .50 caliber 1-20 twist barrel that I would like to use on a Remington Rolling Block action.
I have a Swedish m1867 rolling block in 12.7x44, pretty much the same calibre as .50-70. The twist rate is 1:48". I've shot 450 gr cast (Lyman 515141 or Lee mould 515450) out to 200 yards with no issues.
