.50 beowolf AR mag 3 pak special, in stock

Anyone using the Gen2 on T97? Reports I've read were they are tight in the T97, won't drop free but don't have to disassemble rifle to pound them out.

They *are* tight. the mag catch is rubbing on the body. I only dry fitted mine, no range time yet. I'd blame the T97 magwell rather than the mag as I have 2 LAR-15 mag which are rubbing *hard* as well.

Can't speak for the T-97/ pcv issue, but I did have a Rem 597 where one of the magazines was a tight fit, made easier by applying oil to the magwell and the magazine contact points until it eventually smoothed out.

I don't really understand all the fuss over these mags. They get a few extra rounds vs the lar-15 mags and are quite expensive.... Am I missing something? Also are they plastic or metal?

That was fast, we had lots of mags, but they are popular! We have more on the way, 1 week or so. To be on the notification preorder list, just drop a line to preorder@hical.ca we will notify you as soon as they arrive, no payment needed until we ship!

That was my experience with Gen1: so tight that they got stuck in the magwell..so I sold them.
I now have a Gen2 and it fits my T97, if a little tight. Will not drop free, but comes out easily enough.
I ran about 4 full mags on the weekend, and they functioned well: no failures of any kind.
However, when loaded to the max on an open bolt, the bolt would not close with a tug on the charging handle. Loaded on a closed bolt worked just fine.
