50 Beowulf Metal Magazine Review

So they had a bunch of 20 round mags left over. Explains the brutal crimping job !
Milled the 556 off
Etched .50 Beowulf on it
Sold them for 3X the price

This is what my conclusion is. But if that's the case, Thats a kick in the nuts of the Canadian shooter.

Time to save up for real .50 metal Beowulf.

I'll have an update to the original post in a couple minutes

Thanks.

You can see quite clearly what appears to be 5.56 milled off on the follower, as Garandman noted.

Anyone have any thoughts on the legality of these mags? Could LE argue that they were "converted" from 5.56 mags?

Good luck with this one boys... I wouldn't be found with those in my possession.

It's funny......there was a guy who posted a month or two back about the c-products .50 mags.......and he was run out of here on a rail......

Is this not because alexander arms has a patent on 50 beowulf?

What does that matter? If c products states they don't make a 50 cal mag, then these are not originally 50 cal mags. That means the mags are 223 mags converted to 50 and that would be prohib.

I'm pretty sure c products has a copyright on their name too. Is someone using their name for advantage?

Answers are needed.

If only the follower is from a 5.56 mag, I'm assuming it doesn't break the law since the design is for the .50
although the 223 follower does not work reliably with the 50 beowulf round. It makes the mags pretty much useless to people like myself who want to use them in a 50 beowulf rifle. Can you still remove the follower form the mag and swap it out, or does the crimp prevent this?

How can you say they are not converted when its clear a 556 follower was used and modified...

Is that the defining part that determines what is a magazine? Or us the mag body the defining part and things like springs, followers and floor plates are then side issues?

If the mag body is designed as a 50 Beowulf mag body, do the rest of the parts used to complete the mag matter in its classification?
