If anyone has...I'd love to see pictures of these with a Magpul Ranger plate attached...perhaps next to a 30-rd body?
Just for those of us wondering!
would it be possible to get the next batch pinned with a rivet instead of that UGLY ASS CRIMP...LOL..they'be even more desirable,,
I agree, I've had issues with some factory rivet jobs as well. The rivets are installed wrong and therefore don't drop free from guns. Sometimes they won't even insert into mag wells.I think a rivet after the fact looks much more "ugly" than a crimp done from factory.
Who cares how they look, as long as they function. Am I right?
Yup.
Range prima donnas. "Do these crimps makes my mags look fat? Like, is the metal all buldgy???"
Nope. But for some reason they sure are heavier.
How about if the laws ever change (not likely) and you could then simply drill the rivets out and have a useable mag rather than having a mag that's stuck with less rounds?
Exactly this. Nothing to do with looks, in fact the rivets look worse.
here's hoping that gsdesigns.ca will make a magazine body extension for these like they did with the LAR mags.
You are in luck. Just got this email back from gsdesigns
My email- I am curious as to whether you will be making body extensions for the new 50 beowulf magazines ( seen here "link" ) that will be coming to Canada soon? Thank you for your time.
response-
Hi,
Yes, I will. They will be ready shortly after the vendors who are
currently doing pre-orders ship the magazines.
Thanks,

ahhh yes,,what a nice positive attitude,,,that will surely help us get ahead,,,isn't it much simpler to get a rivet gun and a small bag of rivets,,,problem solved,,,,cheap,,,and the proper mags are used,,LOL...
