Since you guys have been selling your own rifles in this caliber for a while now.

When will you be bringing in some quality bulk surplus ammunition?

Currently it is slim pickings with the under powered PMC offering with poor quality brass and the American Eagle XM33 military rejects with all kinds of varying quality issues. That is if your LGS has either.

Your only going to get somewhere between 2700 to 2800 fps depending on barrel length for us civilian sizes. My average with these was a bit over 2700 fps with a 26" barrel serbu semi, which is on the shorter size then most. As for the cycling of the semi's, the first batch that came into Canada had few issues, mine seem to work fine but others were having problems.

Also the Federal xm33 stuff I was only getting a bit over 2700 fps as well if people want to compare.
 
A user on here posted the cause and fix to the surbu in detail but I digress.

The xm33 is also a reject hence the "X" designation.

Would be nice to see some first run bulk surplus is all I am saying.
 
PMC bronze .50BMG wasn't the cause of my Serbu not cycling in the end, it was a poorly machined gas port. PMC will run any semi just fine. It isn't the hottest load on the market, but it right about average with what you will find any of the manufacturers making.

good to know, Have you reloaded any of the PMC brass? seems thin, requires more prep and get less loading's than reg LC brass.

All I am saying is it would be nice if a retailer bought in bulk from the US where you see prices of $2 and under per round if a large quantity is ordered.

The number of rifles CanAm recently sold should sustain such an endeavor and prove mighty profitable in the long run

Why not just ask if Canada Ammo would consider bringing in some bulk or surplus ammo, rather than spreading questionable/unsubstantiated rumors regarding other types of ammo.

I believe I asked just that......

what rumors? Are you claiming I don't have a 50 and have not experienced the problems with those types of ammo I listed first hand?

The PMC is under powered when compared to current production M33 ball ammo, the brass is also low quality compared to lake city. XM33 is ammo that was rejected by the military, there are pics on this site of loaded rounds with holes in the brass if you care to look. But don't take my word for it, buy your own 50's and put some rounds down range and you can see the differences for yourself as I do.

Kevin M is actually the one who posted his gun as having problems with the PMC initially, but as he has stated here, now, in this thread, It turned out to be more than the ammo. I am glad he worked out the issue.

What are you expecting from the "current production" M33 ball ammo and have you tested it? You also say the PCM brass is of low quality, I'm on my 3rd reloading of it in my small test batch and it seems ok so far. What are you experiencing with it to make that claim? You also say cause there is a "X" in the XM33 name that these are reject rounds with holes in them, I'm pretty sure federal is not in the business of blowing people up. I've seen the pic's of what some guys were saying but other then the ammo being dirty the stuff I used and seen seem to work and look fine.
