.50 bmg based 1911?

ok, as most of you dont understand what i mean, imagine a .45 case enlarged to almost double its size, this is what i mean, OAL length of the round would be about 2.2"

imagine this:

but a 1911 and firing real ammo

Well, I'm guessing a regular human couldn't hold it in one hand.

It would make a Desert Eagle 44MAG look small.

Could a person make it, sure given enough time and money anything is possible.

so, since a .45 case can be made from a .308 or .30-06 case, and a .50BMG is an enlarged (about 169%) .308 couldnt a skilled person make a giant 1911 using shot gun slugs for projectiles out of cut down .50 cases?

aside from making every part, is there a reason this couldnt be done? any specific problems? i guess getting the springs right would be hard, and it wouldnt see alot of use, but as a cool giant demo unit it would be great

Yeah, I had my gunsmith make me one. It's really cool. I'll try to post video on youtube.:)
