Im looking to sell my desert eagle Black IMI. original case and paper work. Im a little rusty on the history of these cannons so Im wondering if there is a price difference between the older ones and the ones that are currently available. The case is in Hebrew and the paperwork is English. Not sure where they have been manufactured through the years.
This gun has seen action, however, It is near mint flawless.
So how much does one of these go for these days?

I don't think there is a huge collectors market for these, I would say in the $1200-$1500 range

I bought a brand new one from IRG for $1300 US back when the dollar was almost even. I got a cash and trade value of around $1400 CDN ($700 cash + rifle that goes for around $700 used), put a couple mags through it and almost immediately threw it on the EE. Couldn't find anyone who would pay cash for it, had to settle for a trade + cash. Best offer for cash purchase was $1100 shipped across the country.

I hated that pistol. Terrible ergonomics, almost impossible to find mags, huge, heavy... if you can get $1200 cash for it, take it.

Many buy these due to the 'hype' or 'I saw it in a movie' then get rid of them soon after. Not much of a used market for them, as they aren't that well respected for quality and ergonomics. Throw it on and see what you get.

Only in Israel until 1994. They had some being manufactured both stateside (Maine) and at IMI for a year or two after that until the full transition to the USA. There was a bit of ping-ponging back and forth again after that between MR and IWI in Israel but I can't immediately recall the timeline.

Mags aren't that bad, if you use irunguns.com there are usually many available

They had none when I bought the pistol and couldn't find any in Canada.

Seriously, this is a 'movie pistol' and the resale value is quite low compared to the purchase price. Only way to find out how much it's worth is to put it on the EE and see how much you get for it.

Well needless to say I totally disagree with you, Shooting
this gun at the range is a total rush!
And your wrists must be weak because this gun is not too heavy at all.

If you like it so much, keep it. Just because I had a DE and thought it was the worst purchase I've ever made, don't take it to heart. Maybe you'll love that hand cannon and enjoy feeding it every time to the range.

That's my experience buying, shooting and later selling it in the EE. Best cash offer was $1100 shipped for a gun that had less than a box of ammo through it. Had to take a trade + cash to get more value out of it.

Good luck with your sale. Let us know what you get for it.

Of all the guns Ive taken to the range, the only one that was more amazing then the Desert Eagle was my M1 Carbine because of its amazing accuracy. The Eagle was a total rush to shoot!!
You must have weak wrists because you can shoot this easily with one hand, totally well balanced and breaks with ease, Ill own another one day

Did you just say M1 Carbine and amazing accuracy in the same sentence?

Its amazing how many people here open a thread asking for advice, get it and when its not what they want to hear get mad or defensive, dude don't be rude there is no need to insult anyone take what you want from the info given thank them very much and move on you will find very little help here if you be a #### everytime you post a thread, I also had a desert eagle but it was in 44 mag I actually loved it and sold it to someone who actually loved it as much as me he actually pm'd me several months after the sale telling me how much he loved it so it was kind of cool and I may actually own one again as well but when a guy pays over a $1000 for a gun usually we tend to go for as new as possible its unfortunate but it seems to be the way of the EE
good luck on your potential sale I hope you get what you want for it and its unfortunate its not an XIX cuz hey ya may have had a sale hahaha
