I picked up a Rossi .50 cal / .270 / .17 HMR earlier in the winter. I don't have much or any experience with the smoke pole. Last time I shot one or around one was over 20+ years ago with one of my uncle's buddies shooting a percussion cap or flint lock...I can't remember. Anyway, from what I've read on various reviews on line they talk about sabots being sloppy in the bore and accuracy suffering. Wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with the Rossi or what sabots they're shooting. Figure I'll start shooting it in the summer a bit and try different loads and see what my results are. Generally use 20g for deer as we're shotgun/muzzle loader only but thought why not try something different.
