princess auto has some that go on sale for like 20 bucks once in a while. i used it in the store. it was ok, but it didnt feel like it could take any more than one gentle tip onto its ass before coming apart.

I bought a Princess Auto one (3 actually) - and they were just junk. I live Princess Auto, but I'm never buying Power Fist optics again.

I have one of them CT units. I think it's a POS. I found it to be very poor above half its total zoom. It was painful to look at .22 at 100 yds. I went out recently and got a Redfield 20-60X60 for about $250 and never looked back.

The Costco Meade scope is decent consumer grade and generally not bad, you certainly don't feel like you overpaid by 100% compared to the POS Princess scope. I have bought some great deals at Princess but this is not one of them. The Meade scope I have used only out to a 150 meters and it's worked well for me. Nice case and tripod that has dual duty for the chrony. CT scope I just dunno? But my past experience says tread with caution at this store.

CT scope -

NOT recommended.

I was given one past X-Mas and I could not get it to even focus to 100yrds.

STAY AWAY from it.

Save abit more $ and get something else -

I should elaborate what I posted earlier. Both me and my friend can see both 30 cal and 22-250 hits at 200 yards on paper with it. On max zoom the eye relief is virtually non existant, you need to have your eye right up in the cup to get a full sight picture. The glass is not the best but for us it does the job. I picked it up on sale at CT for 39.99 a few months ago. I have never dropped it so I dont know if it would instantly come apart or not if dropped. All I know is that i've bought worse things for more money so for 39.99 I figuered why the hell not. If I had a couple hundered to drop on a quality spoting scope I would and i'm sure it would be a quality piece of kit that would blow this CT one out of the water. YMMV

I use the same Costco Meade one too after 3-4 disappointing Power Fist scopes/binos from Princess.

Yeah - I think I'll buy an ounce of silver instead.

well heres my ct scope review. turns out that our group who went shooting, 3 of us bought the same scope. to 60 yards, it works great, very clear, nice focus. to 100, not so much. if you zoom in too far you cant see squat through it and i was able to see my hits with my 12x scope of my rifle better. to 200, well its ####. if youre using it for close range stuff its ok, you can get away to 100 but dont expect to zoom in too tight.

I checked out the Bushnell scope on sale at CT and thought it was pretty low quality...didnt want it for $50 ..cant imagine anyone paying the full price of $100 and being happy with it.
I tried it out in the store and wasnt impressed at all...I say you get what you pay for...Not a good spotting scope at all..even for $50 bucks I dont like it much.
