it all began from when the Norinco M305 sold out
then sellers came out and said the price would increase to 50% or even to be doubled due to lots of reasons....

then lots of supporter came out and noded

Really? Seriously??

I find some new SpringField M1A , selling for around only $1350.

when the M305 goes to $800 - $1000 (as some CGN wish...), how it compares to a M1A?

it will get a very good stock for your M305, lots of improve, maybe even change the barrel and in the last only the receiver left....
how much money do you put in ?
should it be around at least another $1000 ?

I have not done any research in the Spring Field M1A yet, but I have a SpringFeild hand gun, the quality is GREAT!!!

SO:
back to our title:

how a 50%-price-increased-or-doubled Norinco M305 VS a Spring Field M1A ?

Math...

A 50% increase on $100 adds $50, making the total $150. Not double.

50% on $500 would be $750. And that has be stated as the high end of the increase.

You aren't the first one to mess up the math, I did it too.

my fault, the price for M1A I looked at is in U.S. tons of them , basic, around this price.

don't know the price in Canada yet, thought them should be close

no, I did not mess up the math;
I mean, from 50% increase to even doubled
if base price is $500, as what now on sale in CannadaAmmo,
then it means the new EXPECTED price is from $750 to $1000

Quote a dealer that said double. 50% I've seen. People have interpreted it as double, and the the frantic masses show up perpetuating it. Like a wtb ad on the EE, driving prices up.

$500 dollars is because this model has all the do-dad's done on it. As soon as this rifle hits around the $750 mark the dealers will see a dramatic drop off in sales due to the cost of correcting all the issues with it because the customers will start complaining a lot more due to the increased price and also to feed these pigs if not using the nork canam ammo is ridiculously expensive. People will start moving on to different rifle platforms. So I think the dealers are just putting it out there right now to sell off a lot of the inventory before the end of the year.
P.S. Keep an eye on the price of New Zealand's Nork rifles if they go up there then take 3/4's of that price and that is what you will see here.

It's no secret that the price will rise as the supply lines dry up.

I wish I had purchased a semi truck load when they were $400 here in the states.

guy I bought mine from last week had 20 left in stock and said his next shipment would cost him the same as hes selling them for now. so his new cost to get them will ne 460 bucks so id guess 550 to 600 would be a decent guess on his new selling price.

"...thought them should be close..." Not on this planet. Think in terms of roughly 100% more here vs Stateside.
The entire question is answered with simple economics. It's called supply and demand.

A regular Springfield is around 1600.00... A SA NM M1A is @ 2400.00 the difference are the NM stuff add on, NM barrel, NM 2 stage trigger, NM sniper sights, bedding, NM unitized gaz system, the more quality stock wont make a difference in accuracy if the bedding is well made...
Pretty sure you take a new batch DA M-14 add on those 800.00 of premiun parts and they will shoot very close one to another... JP.

The da m14 on CANAM are $450 each, the same with mods socom 18 is $500

The Norinco M14s have been crazy-cheap for years. Seriously...a .308 battle rifle for under $500?? I'm prepared to believe that dealer costs are rising...it's certainly a well-known fact that Chinese labour is getting more expensive. If dealer costs are _not_ rising, I'm quite sure the price of the rifles will come down if they just sit in dealer inventories. It's called competition...maybe people should put down their copies of Guns And Ammo and read a little basic economics instead.

If you're afraid of a big jump in prices, buy now...that's the principle reason I just sprang for my 3rd Norc. Or save your money a little longer. Even at $750, an M305 is a pretty nice deal, although I'd be getting picky about quality. Or you can wait until a Springfield Armory M1A appears for twice the price of a Norc...that's a great deal how? Is it really twice the rifle? Does a better finish make it that much better?

Or just forget it and get a nice SKS. They're cheaper to shoot anyway. Hey, I'd like to have an FNAR, but I don't want to spend $2000 on a range rifle, so I'll live without it.

I wish I had bought a dozen primo Lee-Enfield #4's back in the day...or a bunch of Garands when they were easy to find and going for a few hundred each. Good deals come and go...get used to it.

What are the sources for this 50% price increase? Until I see a credible source (ie a retailer), I'm just going to treat this like every other rumor out there.

See below...

FWIW This is the last batch at the old pricing structure, next batch goes way up.

roughly a 50% price increase is likely. We won't know until the next batch lands

Thank you for understanding

The factory has increased our cost by a little more than $100. per rifle.
Chinese currency is up a bit, Canadian dollar is down a bit
Ocean going shipping is up by about 20%
I would GUESS that you can expect a retail price in the area of $599.

Please understand this is a guesstimate, NOT firm, subject to many variables, NOT final..... But certainly not double as suggested as in rumors we have heard

One should remember that until Marstar entered the market these rifles were selling for $799. $899. and up.... We decided to buy in volume and get the price down

No increases to speak of for ten years....
John

Canada Ammo and Marstar speaking about M305 increases.
