50' x 50' Food Plot.What Would You Plant ?

You guys have my respect, this sounds like a huge amount of work.

Yup...my idea would be a salt or mineral block and leave the natural vegetation as is....all done in 5 minutes...barring that we have a hell of a time keeping the deer out of everything in the wife's garden all summer but peas seem to be the most picked on, even after the peas have been picked and the plants reach full maturity, they come back and eat the plants until freeze-up.

If I have I have time on my side, I plant a couple of apple trees, leave the existing vegetation, and overseed a few patches with clover and alfalfa.
If I don't, I overseed some patches and put up a feeder.

Clover is everywhere here, it doesn't work well, sugar beets are good, and can be roundup ready, but in a small plot will be gone before archery season. I don't like mixes, because I trim my chickory in early September. Turnips work best for me. Some sweet corn, I take some, deer and coon take some, and the deer eat it all winter standing. I just planted Stubble turnips last week.
