50 Yard Expected Accuracy?

Why does everyone jump to the equpiment first?

You see one grouping from the OP with vertical dispersion, and another with horizontal. This indicates technique needs to be improved...

No, a couple groups shown indicate nothing, really. Given that the OP states he has a CZ 452 that "shoots circles around this rifle", that is a strong indicator that he, as a shooter, is not the issue with the groupings shown with the MK II. Heck, I've seen some posts where the person stated "my relative inexperience and inconsistency will be evident", yet, in the targets shown the alleged inconsistency is not evident at all. To the outside viewer, the presented targets only displayed what I'd call "typical rimfire", where many other factors other than the shooter could easily account for the observed shot dispersion. Only the guy who actually pulled the trigger knows for sure, but even then, many get confused by what rimfire does ;)

Arseno, there is still some testing to be done with better quality ammo, but if that rifle doesn't show signs of improvement soon, it's likely a dud. Maybe I got lucky with the Savage MK II I had, one of what, 3, on the 1/2" challenge success list? But, to me that kind of performance from a rimfire is unacceptable. Here's some targets from my MK II BTVS with good ammo to demonstrate what that rifle should be able to do.
