50 yd targets

What ammo do you shoot? What do you expect to get as far as group size? I know some guns like 1 over other. Just wondering what average shooters think is OK and what is too large. I was at range yesterday and targets group went 1/2" to 2 1/4" at 50 yds. Some would have been better if I had taken more time. (that is always a problem with me shooting an auto).

i perfer CCI mini mags or lapua solids semi auto i pepper the target and bolt im usally in the 1/2 to 1 1/2 depending on shooting conditions

i have been out 3 times in 6 days trying to find what my cz513 likes.
CCI blazers 40g
remington thunderbolts 40g
remington sunsonic
remington target
CCI stingers 36g
winchester super X plated round nose 40g
winchester super x hollow points 37g

all shot under a inch at 50yrds.
the worst was remington subsonics
remington target and cci stingers are a easy 1/2" at 50yrds.

for hunting i am going to use stingers 1.5" high at 50 and bang on at 100.
i was shooting clays and 100-125yrds all day long.

NO, I am unhappy with anything over 1/4 inch in my sporters. If they don't shoot that well they get sold.

What < 1/2MOA sporters do you still own?

My Anschutz 1418 with a Leupold 4.5-14 VX-3. At 50 yards it shoots 1/4" with Lapua and between .5" - .75" with Winchester 333.

Cz's, Unique - French rifle, sakos', and some thompson center r-55's.

SK Standard Plus out of my Hammerli pistol. As of yet, no other match ammunition comes close to it @50 yards using irons. I can only dream about rifle capable groups with this one handed use handgun at this distance. Once and only once, did I put a majority of 20 shots into a little more than 3inches at 50 during outdoor practice last summer using one handed, unsupported firing. But I had no camera on this one lucky day, so it's just heresay.
