$500 Auto Loaders vs. $1000 Auto Loaders, What's The Difference? **UPDATED**

The PA-08 is the pump action Weatherby. The semi 12ga is also called the SA-08.

I recently got a Mossberg 930, I've put a couple hundred rounds through it so far with a very little break in period. Shoots fine so far.

Thanks for the correction, I thought the name changed like it did with Mossy, when you go from the 20 gauge to 12. That's great that your 930 is running well, it seems people are happy with them...the only negativity regarding Mossy semis was the SA-20 not cycling with really light loads. A few guys had posted that they'd partly fixed the issue by putting extra fine steel wool lubed with Brasso on a 12 gauge bore swab, attached to a shaft, and spun by an electric drill...they used that rig to polish all the internals and reduce friction. With good lubrication the SA-20 would cycle light loads afterwards...but, and this is why I call it a partial fix, after some rounds were fired and the gun got a bit dirty, it stopped cycling. Only an issue at the range, not so much if you're just shooting the odd grouse, but it's something that wouldn't have been an issue if Mossy had supplied a light and heavy valve like Weatherby.

Interesting! The cheapest that TopGun stuff has been at the Edmonton WSS locations in the last 2 years was $62.99...and if I'm not mistaken it's now up to $69.99 before tax. Only reason I was buying it was to get the pink hulls so I could re-use them to whip up some light loads for a couple of girls.
Was $94+ tax in January in Edmonton. Win Super Target was $120+ tax
