500 dollar 858?

Most likely will be able to find a used one in the EE. Most people gouge you when it comes to the price, though, selling a used firearm for the exact same amount as they purchased it new. Lame.

I see you have looked through the EE as well. Don't forget the ads that proclaim a rifle with 800 (or more) rounds fired to be almost NIB.

The Black Rifles EE is crazier than the Handguns EE when it comes to prices of used guns.

Absolutely this!!! I have been looking through the black rifle ee for a while now just hoping to find a deal on a used 858 or something else cool. All I see are SLIGHTLY modded rifles that have seen the range a whole bunch being sold for the same or more even than new, I men fine you can try and sell your rifle for whatever you want but really c'mon. At this point I intend to buy new just to save myself the hassle.

Also you like how its these same sellers who add "no tire kickers" or "low ballers will be ignored" at the end of their ad yet they are actively trying to rip people off.

Try checking out gun shows as well. Back in September, I got my restricted VZ-58 with one mag for $325 at the Fredericton gun show.

That would be my concern.

If any gun is being sold because it is pooched, it is probably the vz.

I wonder why people in the E.E ask almost the same amount as they purchased. Really they're only offering to save the taxes. I would rather buy new, especially with all the corrosive ammo.

I've noticed that firearms don't depreciate as much as other things, but using something and asking the same for it as new is stupid.

But you can always send them an offer.

Hey I totally agree, if someone shot a few rounds out of a new Cz 858 that they were dumb enough to buy for full price, and didn't mod it whatsoever, you can ask him to deduct the price of a tri rail forend, Ar-15 stock adapter, scope mount, fancy muzzle brake, etc etc ad infinitum or 'the deal is off'.
